Feed The Needy
The Global Hunger Index (GHI) of 2021 has ranked India at 106 out of 116 countries which is a serious cause of concern for Indians. While government agencies have to bring policy-level measures to solve the hunger problem, NGOs can support the government by feeding the needy. In this regard, Dwarakamai Foundation has started its ‘Feed the Needy’ project to fill the hunger gap by conducting monthly food distribution drives on the streets of Gadag. Food packets and water bottles are distributed to the underprivileged, disabled, homeless, and old people on the streets.
